I’m a geographer and sociologist focused on peace culture, social development, and conflict management/resolution. I had participated in community projects in more than 40 locations both within Latin America and Southern Africa. I am Doctor in Sociology from the University of Zagreb and Doctor in Cultural and Social Studies of Mesoamerica and the Caribbean from the Autonomous University of the State of Quintana Roo.

From Chalma, Mexico. People know me locally as a “culture ambassador” and main promoter of the International Folklore Festival for more than five years. I am a person with strong social and political convictions. Basically I used to be the coordinator of the office for Family Integral Development of the municipality of Malinalco. I studied pedagogy at the University Institute of the State of Mexico.

WE BELIEVE
In cultural exchange between locals and volunteers and seek to promote peace and human rights. We foster & empower young people and believe in equal opportunities. We are a group of sustainable grassroots NGOs, located in the Dominican Republic towns of Santa Bárbara de Samaná and Las Terrenas, two charming coastal villages in the northeast of the Dominican Republic and in Mexico.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
We also serve those serving others: our volunteers! We give volunteers and interns the opportunity to make a difference in the local community while meeting people, learning Spanish and enjoying the breathtaking landscapes of the Dominican Republic and Mexico. Our volunteers hopefully become role models for change worldwide.
OUR WORK
We are run exclusively by the donations and efforts of our volunteers and interns. In fact, we support local youth and their families. We seek to raise public awareness about pressing matters and promote a Culture of Peace. Volunteering with us makes a real difference and is extremely rewarding for our volunteers and interns.
