Virtual Volunteer
Perhaps you are interested in
supporting our cause, but are unable to commit to traveling
to Venezuela to volunteer. Whatever the reason, Aldeas de
Paz understands that not all people can come to
Venezuela to work with us. Therefore, a virtual
volunteer position has been created. A great deal of
our work is done on the internet. As many of these
tasks can be completed from anywhere in the world, a virtual
volunteer can actually make great contributions to Aldeas de
Paz!
We actually need:

Virtual Community Manager
We need a Virtual Community Manager who is able to design, create/develop and maintain/update
a virtual community webpage for Aldeas de Paz using open
source content management systems (f.e. Drupal)
Requirements:
CMS, PHP,HTML, and other related skills.
We want to expand our network of supporters and volunteers as
well as develop online fundraising for specific community based aid programs. We
need an experienced blogger for PR online, using the various platforms and edit
multiple blogs with realtime updates and information about our programs
and the intentional volunteer community several times per week
Requirements:
Requires blogging experience and networking capacities. Ability to work
communities, chat rooms and to create interest. Ability to post videos and experience with
online plarforms and fund raising, social networking, etc.
- Email correspondence with
potential donors, listing agencies, international partner
agencies
- Researching possible grants,
donations
- Gathering information on
possible listing agencies, databases, volunteer resource
sites
- Providing feedback, suggestions
on PVF programs
- Revising/updating website,
creating web listings
- Translation of website into your language (Japanese is our current
number one priority language but others would also be
welcome)
