Ecological Building/Carpentry

The ecological building project is ideal if you enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the countryside. You can also hone your Spanish skills as you work side by side with our local grounds-maintenance workers. Assist with one of our most important projects: the expansion of Peace Villages multi-faceted Community & Therapy Center facilities for local children and young people with special needs.

Activities can include:

  • Doing all sorts of carpentry projects in our fully stocked workshop (MR: E1, L0, C0)
  • Helping in the construction of a playground and other facilities for therapy on the PVF grounds (MR: E1, L0, C0)
  • Renovation/maintenance of rooms, gardens, recreational facilities and workshops (MR: E0, L0, C0)
  • Wood/stone work, including construction/maintenance of the Therapeutic Horse Riding facilities (MR: E1, L0, C0)
  • Assistance with day-to-day tasks, collaboration on projects using local ecological materials (MR: E0, L0, C0)

Requirements:

No previous experience required. However, those with experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Level of Experience  None: E0; Little: E1; Advanced: E2; Experts: E3 
Spanish Language Skills  None: L0; Basic: L1; Conversational: L2; Fluent: L3
Minimum Time Commitment  None: C0; 1 Month: C1; 2 Months: C2; 3 Months: C3

Ongoing throughout the year.
