Aldeas de Paz Volunteer or Intern!
Your contribution is important to

We are happy to place you in one of our exiting programs
We welcome individual, couple, family and
group participation regardless of your age or
experience level. Typically Aldeas de Paz Volunteers are dynamic,
self-motivated and enthusiastic about their work. They are flexible about the kind
of work that they do and able to adapt quickly to a new environment
and new people.
You do not need special skills nor do you have to
speak fluent Spanish (conversational Spanish skills are
useful).
Any necessary skills will be learned on the job. It is
quite possible to volunteer and learn Spanish in parallel.
Most of our international volunteers have no previous experience
and very little Spanish. You don't have to speak fluent Spanish
as we provide full support and 24 hour back-up from on-site local staff. Adaptation is rarely a problem as we
provide thorough support. If you

The volunteer application process is very straightforward!
Send us the details that we'll need
from you to consider your application:
Once your application has been received, assuming we are able to
accommodate you, we will send you a written confirmation of your
application and your requested placement, including a calculation of
the required
volunteer
donation deposit (see Application Timeline below).
The deposit is necessary to secure your
placement and your accommodation arrangement ahead of your
arrival. See Terms &
Conditions
for further details. The rest payment should be settled before arrival,
on arrival or through
monthly installments previous to your arrival. Once we receive
your deposit we will be able to make substantial commitments with
beneficiaries and suppliers and start preparing for your
volunteer placement and secure your accommodation arrangement
ahead of your arrival.
Conditions of the Application
Age Limit
Aldeas de Paz accepts applications
from all prospective volunteers, regardless of age. Our
youngest volunteer was 6 and the oldest was 72! We ask that
all volunteers under the age of 18 present a written permission of
their parent or guardian. We encourage and promote family volunteering. Placement Duration
We are always in need of help and accept volunteers year-round. It is possible that we
accept volunteers in short time scales, but
applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The minimum placement duration is one week and there is no maximum
time limit.

Time line
This is a basic timeline that could
vary depending on certain situations.

Prospective volunteer sends
Application Form
and the downloadable
Volunteer Questionnaire to Aldeas de Paz by
email. (Typically volunteers
start at Aldeas de Paz within
14 to 180 days after application.)

ADP responds to applications within 24 hours - As long as all requirements are met and all
necessary materials included, applicant will be invited to volunteer
with Aldeas de Paz.

Next step will be for volunteer to buy tickets
to Venezuela and let us know exactly what date you are arriving at
and leaving from Aldeas de Paz in Santa Elena (see
travel
information). We than send a calculation of the total
minimum
volunteer
donation.

Volunteers secure their placement and accommodation arrangement by
depositing part of the calculated minimum volunteer donation. We
should receive the deposit
as soon as possible, prior to arrival in order to make important commitments with
beneficiaries and suppliers and start preparing for volunteers work placement
and securing volunteers accommodation arrangement ahead of his arrival.

Once the Deposit is received we will send volunteer a
mail confirming the reception of the deposit and the definite booking of volunteers placement
and accommodation arrangement.

Volunteer makes trip to Venezuela to begin!
