Learn, expand or polish your Spanish skills. Since Venezuela is a Spanish-speaking country and English speakers are not very common, it is obviously a advantage to know some Spanish. You can quickly improve your speaking skills in the volunteer projects by following our Spanish language course for free! The focus is on conversational skills and full cultural immersion.
It is quite possible to volunteer and learn Spanish at the same time
Most of our international volunteers speak very little to no Spanish when they get here. To enrich your everyday interactions with the locals and teach you through practice you will receive 16 academic hours of Spanish language group tuition every week. We encourage cooperative-living volunteers to practice their Spanish around the Aldeas de Paz home with fellow volunteers and local staff as often as possible.
