Internship in Venezuela

Use your creativity

A chance of a lifetime to volunteer in South America

Make a positive impact while completing an exiting internship and boosting your career

Certificates are provided to all interns

In addition to short-term volunteer options, we offer internships. Interns generally come for 1-8 months and contact us well in advance to inform us about the conditions under which they wish to do their internship and the requirements of their university or academic advisor if needed.

We are happy to be in communication with academic institutions and to provide all materials and references necessary for interns to receive course credit for their intern work. Certificates are provided to all interns (independent or university sponsored) upon successful completion of their internships.

Watch our Multimedia presentations and read Testimonials from past volunteers

I found myself spending whole mornings thinking out lesson plans that might engage the students and was continually delighted at how attentive, enthusiastic and interested the students were in lessons. It felt incredible how quickly I struck up a relationship with the students learning as much, if not more from them, as they did from me.

The typical intern

A typical intern needs to be enthusiastic, willing to learn, ready for a challenge, has a desire to take initiative and dedicates a lot of caring and passion to the position. Friendliness, care, commitment and patience are among important qualities. We welcome individual volunteers, families and groups regardless of age, experience or background. You don't have to speak fluent Spanish as we provide full support and 24 hour back-up from our local staff.

If this entry makes its way on the internet and you are considering volunteering here, if you can give a time commitment of a couple of weeks the benefit to both you and the beneficiaries will be really worth while.

Volunteer with Aldeas de Paz

Choose level of Involvement

Specialize or Diversify

Every intern has the opportunity to be involved in as many or as few of our programs and they would like. We encourage interns to form schedules which work for them, and to work in any combination of programs. Volunteers decide how many hours they want to work. We recommend a minimum 3 days a week. You may work as much as 5 days and as many hours you wish. We emphasize that we focus on excellence and not on quantity.

Why we need volunteers

Interns - The driving Force

Interns are the driving force of Aldeas de Paz' work, both through their volunteering and through their financial contributions.
Interning with us is a great opportunity to work side by side with locals, learn new skills, study Spanish, and immerse oneself in the Latin and indigenous culture.
Certificates are provided to all interns.

Why Intern?

Our NGO Administration program is particularly appealing to interns, however any of our programs can be done as internships. Costs are the same as for volunteers. Read more about our NGO Administration program for example. The structure of your internship depends greatly on your school requirements. We work in close contact with your school and make sure that requirements are met. After completion we issue Certificates and references. Read on here
