Yes, you can become a Volunteer or Intern!

We welcome individual, couple, family and group participation regardless of your age or experience level. Typically Aldeas de Paz Volunteers are dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic about their work. They are flexible about the kind of work that they do and able to adapt quickly to a new environment and new people.

Skills needed

You do not need special skills nor do you have to speak Spanish. We provide 16 hours of conversational Spanish classes every week!
Any necessary skills will be learned on the job. It is quite possible to volunteer and learn Spanish in parallel. Most of our international volunteers have no previous experience and very little Spanish. Enjoy full support and 24 hour back-up from on-site local staff. The Application Process

The volunteer application process is very straightforward! Send us the details that we'll need from you to consider your application:

1. Fill online Application Form
2. Email us a short CV/resume.
3. Send a small passport style digital/scanned photo. (less than 1 MB)

Once your application has been received, assuming we are able to accommodate you, we will send you a written confirmation of your application and your requested placement, including a calculation of the required volunteer donation deposit (see Application Timeline below). The deposit is necessary to secure your placement and your accommodation arrangement ahead of your arrival. See Terms & Conditions for further details. Once we receive your deposit your volunteer placement and your accommodation arrangement are secured ahead of your arrival.

Conditions of the Application

Age Limit

Aldeas de Paz accepts applications from all prospective volunteers, regardless of their age. We ask that all volunteers under the age of 18 to present a written permission of their parent or guardian. We encourage and promote family volunteering.

Placement Duration

We are always in need of help and accept volunteers year-round. It is possible that we accept volunteers in short time scales, but applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The minimum placement duration is one week and there is no maximum time limit. When you book your placement please keep in mind that you book according with your minimum time commitment. You can later expand your stay as you go!
